I am considering becoming an Autodesk user our university is presently using SolidWorks and wish to compare features and functionality of the CFD Motion package to the Flow Simulation offered by SolidWorks. Motion is not truly necessary, just the coupled radiative heat transfer – hopefully with the ability to define wavelength-dependent absorption coefficients for semi-transparent materials. There is only one install for CFD and the functionality is driven by the licence type.

I think that you should have access to the advanced functionality if you have a student licence. I recommend taking a look at our online help too, this might answer some of your questions. I would say this is outside of the current capabilities of CFD.
